- Two green cheek conures
My newest green cheek conure, Linus, got out of quarantine a week ago, I want to start introducing him to my other green cheek, Jake. I've read a bit about how to do it safely, but I'm still a little paranoid that they may harm one another.
I doubt Linus would harm Jake (he is only 4 months old, and very gentle), but Jake was abused by his previous owners and is the opposite of gentle (a month or so after I got him I had to get stitches when he abruptly took out a chunk of my finger). He is much less rough now but still nips hard from time to time, And I'm worried that he could take off linus's toes or something.
Any and all advise would be appreciated. One other thing I'm worried about is that Jake is about 3 years old and has been much more rough the last few months, I've read its hormone changes, Would this make it more difficult to get them to at least tolerate one another?
