Introducing Killer Kane!

I'd like to introduce everyone to the newest member of my flock, meet Kane! He's almost 4 months old, has been with me for a week today, and is an absolute sweetheart (so far)! My green cheek and my cockatiel are pissed, my budgies are petrified, but Kane and Lita, my male Quaker, have hit it off and seem to love each other, at least for now...I'm waiting for that bubble to break, as Bowie, my male green cheek, is Lita's constant companion, and is out for blood. Bowie literally did a dive-bomb off of the birdy gym today right at Kane's head as he and Lita were playing with a plastic cat ball. Unfortunately I think Bowie got scared and chickened out, because as he landed he let out a squawk, ran over to me and nipped my ear, and flew back to the birdy gym, as to say "This is your fault mama, you've ruined my life!"... he'll get over it...I hope.

So extra scritches for the rest of the flock tonight, as Kane has fallen asleep in the hood on my hoodie...this is a bad habit to start. He makes the cutest little human-like baby noises, I've never heard a bird make them before and it's adorable! He's not spoiled at all...

Well, there goes the Structured Peace in your home! And, I would guess that it will be quite awhile before things settle down again, if ever! You may find yourself with separate /schedule out of cage time just to keep peace.

Ha ha, who said I had peace to begin with!!! I must be out of my mind (this is exactly what I thought after getting my Quaker and listening to the sound effects). So far the green cheek is on his own little diva schedule (such a little drama queen) with the budgies, and everyone else is loving life with the big boy... we'll see how long this lasts [emoji12] !

Thanks! I tend to name pets after rock stars (I'm a musician and punk rock fanatic), so he is named after Arthur "Killer" Kane, bass player for The New York Dolls...I'm a nerd [emoji12]
