"Willie"&"Lola"B&G Macaw,
"Dixie"LSC2, and "Nico" Scarlet Macaw.
He's the newest addition, the previous family had him for a very short period, they were smoking inside their home which is a no no for birds. They don't feed him enough food like he should be getting on a daily basis. He also was absolutely terrified of people and hands. He will bite and freak out fluttering everywhere. I've been leaving him alone for the past several weeks but he wasn't coming out of his skittishness as he freaks out every time we walk by him. So I had to get him out of his cage, otherwise he'll never accept us period. I put him in the bathroom with me and kept working with him, he's sitting on my shoulders now when I took this picture. This took about 30 min to accomplish sitting with him on the floor. Any bird can be tamed as long as your willing!!! I am not forcing him to step up yet, just trying to get him used to just being on me.

Adorable little guy, thank God you were able to get him out from that environment! Also, big congratulations on your accomplishment with him! I'm positive that with your care and training, he'll be as lovable as can be.

Wow, Michael, that's pretty impressive success in a short time frame! Way to go! Congratulations on having little Huckleberry come to live with you - I know you'll be very happy together (he's a lucky little 'Berry). :)

Sometimes I dunno what I'm getting myself into. It was over an hour drive in the middle of nowhere out in the country side where I got lost for 30min....lol.....When the husband opened the door, I smell the cigarette right away. I'm a smoker, but I don't ever smoke around my animals or in the house period. He had a hard life, his previous owner passed away and his daughter just goes over to feed then leave, that went on for over a year before this family took him in but was unable to work with him due to his skittishness and the biting part. First thing they tell me is that he bites hard and draw blood. Oh that's nothing I say, a bite from a small bird is really nothing compared to a macaw or a cockatoo bite that I've had in the past....lol.....

He's been getting fruits and veggies on a daily basis, along with seeds and a bowl of pellets. Trying to get him off seeds. Also waiting on him to molt to rid his imperfect feathers right now.

OMG ,I think hes beautiful .Great working with him in the bathroom idea . Have you had any of these guys before?

Hes a very handsome fellow, Michael. I'm glad he found his way into your home and your heart. You've made great progress with him already.

Very pretty bird! Congratulations on your progress with him! Sounds like he will come along quickly and become a great companion for you! Glad you got him out of that situation and into one full of love and care.

He's my first Indian Ringneck! Always thought about having one. I'm trying to step away from powder dust birds now days as my Cockatiels have too much dust. Although Dixie the Cockatoo have powder dust, she's staying as we've had her way too long. So I've been rehoming some Cockatiels as time comes. My doctor been telling me stuffs I don't really want to hear as I'm prone to infections and allergies.

He's a sweet bird but just needed someone who knows how to train birds to work with him. He allows me to pet him as he was getting some loving last night.

He looks somewhat blue in person but he's a turquoise I believe as the picture shows it better. I thought he was blue as in their picture that they sent me before looks more blue.

Wow, congrats! He will sit with you and there aren't many people who can help him and understand him like you. He is in one of the best houses possible to be happy and tame :) Good luck!

It's an ongoing issue that most people have when getting a pet parrot. They fail to reach their body language and doesn't know how to properly train or care for their parrot. Then they give up cause they can't be trained as they put it. But that's where we come in right? :)

Congrats on your latest birdie Michael :). Blue IRNs are so pretty. He's a lucky little bird to go to your home, I think you'll have success with him with your training skills... plus, I think he probably likes you (now that he realizes the humans aren't giant predators ;).

He's lovely...and on his way to being a happy bird! :D

He's adorable! I love ringnecks!
