Gloria, BFA, adopted on Jan. 9, 2016 when she was 30 years old
. Her mom went to a nursing home.
Also have 2 cats (Rangerand Luna) and a 24 year old aquatic turtle, named Elvis.
So Gloria (BFA) has been with us almost 3 years. She's 33 years old and has always been an only bird. My local pet supplier works with Rehome my Pet and they have an 18 year old U2 that is looking for a home. She's female and very sweet. Apparently she was given up due to noise and feather dust. I'm so tempted but my first concern is Gloria. I don't know if she would be jealous of a new bird or if she'd enjoy the company of another feathered friend.

Gloria is a really chill bird. She's pretty quiet, hangs out on her cage top playground or on her rolling perch if I'm in a different room so she can be with me. She still won't step up and has an aversion to hands but she gives us kisses and nuzzles us to be affectionate. I don't want to upset her.

Am I over thinking this? Suggestions would be welcome.

No one knows if one bird will like another. I had Smokey (TAG) for about 1.5 yrs before Amy came to live with us. Smokey was an only bird at the time. She NEVER got to accept Amy,would torment Amy any chance she got! She'd sneak up on Amy and pull her tail til Amy screamed then would turn and run back to her house LAUGHING! One time they went beak to beak and I thought Smokey finally gave in and was going to accept Amy. WRONG-O!! Smokey bit Amys tongue requiring five stitches! I never let them out at the same time again.

Maybe you could bring Gloria to the petshop to meet the 'too and see how they interact??
