Hello, We have a Green Cheek Conure that is almost a year old named Barry. We call Barry a boy, but we donā€™t know the gender.
What initially made me fall in love with Barry is creating some concern.
Barry is a very intense cuddler to both myself and my daughter. He will contort himself all over your neck and cheek in what seems to be an attempt to create as much contact.
I have read that cuddling should be limited to the head.
In this case it is Barry who is essentially forcing contact outside the safe zone.
I have attached a video for reference.
Based on the video, do I have a reason to be concerned?

I donā€™t have any conures but.
The female is the gender most likely to be stimulated by rubbing on the back..
itā€™s difficult to tell for me from video if itā€™s hormonal or not but my guess is not.

I wouldn't be concerned. Some birds don't like being touched at all

I think this is normal for a young green cheek. It's one of the things people love about them. Many of them like to cuddle! I'd just enjoy it.
