Inside parrot interaction with outside birds

So! I'm still researching having a bird (considering a ringneck, Alexandrine or Conure) and have a question. The room I want to keep it in has a eucalyptus tree about 4 metres away outside. The tree is very popular with magpies, wattle birds and the occasional rosella. They sometimes make a bit of a racket in the morning.

My question is, will this be likely to stress out or over excite an indoor bird? I have a couple of other areas I could settle my future bird, would like it to be the most appropriate place :)

Not the answer that your likely looking for, but here it is: It depends of the individual parrot. Some will love the activity and will likely join in. Another maybe totally stressed-out by their presents. The 'flock' based parrots will do much better than those that are based in small family social groups.

Either way, for your sanity, I strongly would consider moving any future parrot to a more tranquil area.

Our DYH Amazon's prior home was close to a very popular area for Canada Geese and he has their HONK down prefect. So well, that the Geese Catchers that keep the population under control in the central pond in our Development a 1000' North of our home searched fully around our home several times looking for that goose. Once I pointed-out that the Green Parrot with the Yellow head was the source of all the Honking, they gave-up the preceded back to pond area.

My baby loves the outside fids, she calls to them and does her best to learn their calls! She even does a blender imitation quite well!

I find this hillarious, but Sydney loves to sit in the window, he climbs off his cage and will sit for hours, literally bird watching the little birds that land on the ledge. I find it rather entertaining!

But, he will sit on his cage looking out the other window and yell incessantly out it, especially at anyone walking into the house next door or sitting outside, until they look at him.

So, your mileage may vary, some birds enjoy just watching, some birds want to be out there, and some are terrified of the other birds. I'd say a young bird could probably be conditioned to ignore them mostly, but again, personality is a big thing.

Thanks peeps!! Yeah, I thought it might be a "bird by bird" basis. I guess when I take the plunge, I'll see how it goes. I have some options though which is good. Should make for a happy bird finding the room it likes the best, without screeching all day :)

My parrots love watching the birds outside but do freak when the squirrels jump on the window ledge. :rainbow1::green:

Mine mostly ignore outside birds, with the exception of crows. We have lots of crows, and when they become very vocal I notice there is a bit of stress.

Most of my birds enjoy looking out the window and watching other birds with one exception.
We have a lot of Raven's in the area and when my Tiels spot one they sometimes panic.
My Zons don't panic when they see a raven but it definitely puts them on guard.
I don't know how they would react to other species of parrots, we don't have any in my area :(

Our Conure shows no interest in the birds outside. Our CAG watches and talked to them. He does his threatening noise to the chickens. Just this past week I have heard both a Robin and a blue jay that turned out to be coming from the front room. I have never heard Buzz make them before so he must have picked them up through the open windows.
