Insect screens

So just a question, but has anyone here ever had these DIY insect screens before? Just thinking ahead to warmer months here it gets to a heat that's unbearable here with no AC units and the cost of a free standing unit being ridiculous, I was planning on getting them anyway to keep all the creepy crawlies out but was wondering if these would be safe to use with the windows open and the screen covering the whole window? I don't think a Tiel would be strong enough to pull them off right? and would you say the magnetic or velcro style one be better?

Would probably resist one crash from a tiel, but if he shakes it off and tries again, with purpose, maybe not. A lot of the effectiveness of these types of window treatments has to do with careful applicable of the strip to the window frame. Take your time, measure twice-cut once and make sure the strips are dead straight.

Yeah I think I'll give it a try and if he gets too interested will just pull the windows closed
