Info about bird expos?

Not sure what topic to put this under, so my apologies if it's under the wrong one. But theres a bird expo coming up in my area, and I was wondering if birds are generally cheaper there? I have been having a lot of difficulty finding breeders on long island, and I never like buying birds at pet shops.
I also heard that the birds tend to not be as hardy and in good shape as opposed to buying from a breeder, but again, I can't find any breeders selling at a reasonable price around here. Any info about expos would be greatly appreciated.

Bird expos are generally cheaper . I usually buy some toys and some other things that I need for the bird . Yes birds are also generally cheaper . So yeah if you can hold off on buying from a breeder then you might be able to find something you really want at a discounted price . I know I usually buy a stock box of millet . Oh well have a great day and i usually enjoy going and meeting other bird people .

You also have a greater chance of getting a bird exposed to avian viruses at things like expos.

Hello there fellow Long Islander, I will be attending the same Expo in Freeport. The Expo is sponserd by the Long Island Parrot Society so I dont believe they will be selling birds there however, I'm sure there will be breeders there. What kind of bird are you looking for, I know a few people on the Island.
