Indian ringneck parrot help

Hi all im new so hello
My partner and i have just bought an Indian ring neck parrot and he is basically about 4_5 months old he is not tame so we have yet to hold him or anything like that we are currently trying to tame him and have a couple of parrot related questions.
When well we expect him to start singing/talking a he has been silent apart from a few clicking sounds? We talk to him often just to try and relax him.
Secondly does anyone have any further tips on taming him so that we can eventually hold him etc?

At the moment he's in an unfamiliar territory and probably still trying to figure out where the predators are, so it makes sense for him to stay quiet and try not to draw attention to himself. As his confidence builds I'm sure you'll hear a bit more out of him. It takes time to build trust but take it slow and let him set the pace and you'll get there sooner or later.
