Indian ring neck

What exactly is a lot? My Ringneck sleeps 12-13 hours a night. If I wake him up before he's accustomed to being awoken, he'll go right back to sleep.

Also, is there anything else wrong? What's his weight? Is he eating? Are his droppings normal? Is he consuming water? Are there any other visible signs to cause concern such as respiratory sounds, tail bobbing, or unsteady perching?

Well he sleeps around 10 hours a night dependant what time he decides to doze off and wake up, no signs of illness he's eating well seeds and fruit and veggies, droppings seem normal, yes drinking plenty. No unusual behaviour, just seems to sleep a lot during the day, he went to the vets other day and he was happy with him.. He's lovely when he's awake but then he'll sit on his perch and go to sleep for hours and hours split up during the day time

Does he get complete quiet and darkness at night when he sleeps? Sometimes if their nighttime sleep is interrupted they'll end up sleeping during the day as well.

It's also pretty normal to be sleepy after vet visits, or to appear subdued. Lethargy can be a sign of illness, so I can totally see why it would worry you. If you want, you can take him to the vet to ensure a fecal and potentially a blood panel is done to be 100% sure there's nothing physically wrong.

Otherwise it might just be he isn't getting enough undisturbed sleep at night.
