In search of what my Parrot / Parakeet was?

Back in late 1990’s I had this Parrot / Or was told Large Parakeet. Named him Mad Maxx. Living in N. Ca. I had to sell him as I got knee deep in nursing school. He started to get ornery. The guy I sold him to told me, one thing his cage was too small, and that was typical of his species. They needed a lot of attention. For years I felt horrible letting him go but Mad Maxx took to him right away. Also, he said he might have been raised by a male person. Sometimes they have a preference. Maxx would ride on my shoulder and we’d go every where his greatest love was going on my bike. We’d bike for miles, people would be amazed how he stayed on my right shoulder. I want to identify my pics so I can remember him with a proper name of the species. I don’t think he could ever be replaced. I have tried Facebook, pet stores, pic identification nothing, I’m hoping you can help.

It was an Indian ringneck
Or if you want a proper proper name: rose-ringed parakeet

It looks to me like an Indian Ringneck parakeet female of some color variety. Females have little or no "ring" around their neck.

Yeah, unless these pictures were made when he(?) was still young - if he never got the ring, it was a female
