Hey guys. I have a hobby here that I love to do called Intarsia. It's basically a mosaic of wood pieces fitted together to form things such as People, animals, or whatever other type of thing that is on the patterns I use. People around here really like the projects and i've sold a couple to them. But I've found to have had more luck selling projects over the net. I figured that's just a little taste of what it'd be like to have my own website. So I've done some research and figured out what I need first, and I need a name for the website first. I live in WI as some of you know, but really really north, almost next to Lake Superior. I also live in the country. (just a couple things to maybe give you some ideas) I was thinking something like "northernwoodsintarsia.com" or something like that. Anyways, it'd be really nice if you all could give me some idea's. Any would be nice but I think i'd like something that has to do with Northern WI, country, better. But if you have an idea please share it. Thanks guys!

I lived in the northwoods of WI. for 2 years in a town named Burnamanwood or something like that. It is really somethng in the winter time and hobbies are needed to keep the cabin fever at bay. Sorry I am not too original on names.

I was thinking something like "northernwoodsintarsia.com" or something like that. Thanks guys!

I really like this site name northernwoodsintarsia.com simple to remember and straight to the point.

Hey thanks. :) I was asking my dad though and he said that things might change. I"ll probably not always be in the northernwoods. Then again I could always change it.

Anyone else?

Your welcome m8, :) . Well yeah, if you do end up not in northern woods you can always change the site name free or without additional charge I would not know. Or you can have the site name as mrintarsia.com , intarsiaemporium.com , intarsiasmadespecial.com .

Then again if the products the game, name of the site is least of problem but always good to focus on little details; None the less wish your bussiness booms with success.

Thanks so much. :) I kinda like Intarsiaemporium.com, I think i'll put that down as one of my possible names.

I'm trying to look for something that is easy to remember, maybe rolls off the tounge. I want it to be easy for people to type the name in the URL, cuz I heard you can lose customers if it's a hassle for them to always type in the sites name. Like Intarsia-From-The-Northern-lakes. See no-one would remember to put the hyphens in, and even then that's a kinda long name. Hey here's an idea: NorthlakesIntarsia. What do you think of that?

Your welcome m8, NorthlakesIntarsia is good if you are strictly selling your goods/merchandise in that area alone or nearwhere. But you yourself said you get better sales over the net, and sooooo maybe something international like and that rolls of the tounge, hummm. I will re edit this If I can manage to think of a nice one.

Thanks I appriciate it. Yeah NorthernlakesIntarsia is a little stricter than NorthwoodsIntarsia.

Here is what I came up with so far, olchippersintarisa.com Ol' Chipper because of a wood chippers it does seem to roll of the tounge. Your welcome, apprecaite you taking time to hear my suggestion on names.

Or you can also try this name intarsiahut.com , I got this idea when I was on my way to Arrowhead Lake In Big Bear Mtn. I saw a funny shaped house very pointy at top I suppose for the snow and all. Anyways, What caught my attention was that outside that house they had a bunch of wooden carved animals a wooden Bear, Moose, you name it.

And also, I would think intarsia Owls would sell like hotcake for homes, if you didn't know that allready.
