We have been doing the necessary handling to be able to use the aviator harness. She just let me lift her wing without trying to nibble on my fingers. I gave high praise and a treat and she even let out a little squeal of joy or triumph I'm not sure. I do think counting to 3 helps a lot. So excited we were sitting in the window doing some of the exercises. She is so ready to go outside. Now just gotta get her ready for the harness.:04:

That is great progress! I've never used a harness, so can't give any good advice other than to take it slowly with a TAG! Has she seen the harness yet, just to have an idea of what is coming??

details on the training, Perjo is very hit or miss with me handling her wings very often or aggressively.

She has seen the harness and good news she's not too afraid of it. We played with it like a toy a little tug of war and stuff. The video is really great. I count to three and then I let go. We started with scratching under her wing and then when she wasn't too angry about this anymore I started lifting her wing. Then I give her a break and we try it all over again. They are so smart she quickly realized that after three it was over I was happy and she got a treat. She still try's to move my hand away with her beak or stop me by holding my finger with her foot. But the improvements are great and much faster than I expected. I'm going to put the harness in the room next to the cage and then on top of the cage. While I continue to get her used to the work g touching. When I first got Timneh all petting was off except the top of the head. Before this training I had already been working to expand her acceptable petting areas and could pet the outside of her wingsg already. So I guess I'm a way I've kind of been working on this for monthes and didn't even know it.

I forgot I've also been doing all lot of the training in front of an open screened in window so she's fairly distracted cause she really wants to go outside. I would say she really doesn't like the motion of my running my hand over her head like a simulat d harness. But even that she's getting better much better. I'm psyched she's only giving me minor pinches and grabbing my finger no real aggression or fear just curioustoty in what the heck is dad doing to me.
