Hello, I have a 14 year old double-yellow headed female Amazon named Noel, I got her around Christmas time, hence the name, she sings Noel quite well if a little off key. I used to have a cute little Quaker named Taco who laid an egg when she was 8 years old and came down with an ovarian infection that killed her and broke my heart. That was many years ago but it's something I never got over. Noel is a big help. I also have 2 cats, a dog, and a husband. I live in the woods on 5 acres that share a property line with 500 acres of Michigan state forest, so I have a really big back yard. The neighbors have horses, llamas, goats, chickens, a miniature pig, a donkey, etc., a regular petting zoo that I get to enjoy but don't have to take care of! Noel is a real clown, she calls my husband "Birdbrain" and she calls me Momma. Whenever the dog barks at squirrels or bunnies she yells "Mad dog! Mad dog!" We used to have a dog that whined a lot and unfortunately......you guessed it, she whines just like that dog. Oh I could go on about her but I'm running out of space. :greenyellow:

Having a petting zoo next door that you can enjoy but don't have to care for & clean up after sounds intriguing.....

Hello and welcome! Sounds like Noel has a great sense of humor and likes to share it! Enjoy your stay.

Hello and welcome!
I am sorry for your loss of Taco, and happy that you have Noel now.
Noel sounds like quite a character! My CAG just learned to mimic my dogs screams, which he does when he wants attention and sounds like he is being tortured...of course THAT is something the fids will learn! I feel for you:)
Glad you joined us and I would love to see pictures of all your babies.
