I got my baby Charlie about two weeks ago from a breeder and he was about 8 weeks at the time. When I took him home he hid his head in the crook of my arm and was quite chilled. Then it went south really fast. I have quite a loud voice but when I speak to him I try to be softer. He's still on a diet of Aviplus which I made a bit less mushy and give to him in a bowl. He eats it all but that's not the issue. He's terribly skittish of me and any movement around him maked him freak out. I speak to him wherever I'm around. I try to keep the cage clean but it's an impossible mission as whenever I try to get near (also when I put his food in there) he starts hissing and squawking and flapping like there's hellfire in his bum. When I pass by the cage or stand near him he scurries into a corner and tries to hide under the newspapers. I have lost my patience once while trying to clean the cage but I never hurt my baby. I don't like seeing him like this and I want him to at least let me clean the cage in peace. I'll try at a later stage to pet him and all that. Can anyone please help?
