Remember I was going to make a T-Stand for Percy using an old standing lamp as a base?
Well, I attached a bamboo perch to the top of it and apparently in the process imbued it with all manner of evil, bird killing voodoo :54: Master Percy wanted (and still wants) nothing to do with it. He pretends to have a stroke or an attack of vapours if he just sees it! I've taken off the wrapping I had around the centre piece, thinking that was maybe the scary bit, but no luck. I've left it standing close to his cage for two weeks thinking he would get used to it, but no siree, he haaaates it!
So, today I stood it right next to his cage and made a huge fuss of the "ever so fancy" wrapping/beady bit in the centre which I attached while he peeked out from behind his hidey toy (the main purpose of this bit is just to hide the part where I attached the bamboo to the stand with a hot glue gun because I don't want him biting it). Eventually, he came out of hiding and started checking it out more closely.
After he went to bed, I made two toys using his favourtist things and attached them to the ends of the perch. Let's see what tomorrow brings...
