I just won a $50 Amazon gift card from my job, and I want to get some good toys and cage accessories for our baby before he/she comes home.

funny you ask! I have items in my amazon cart that I want to order in the near future... We do alot of making our own stuff, so what I list are parts, not complete toys. Once you buy a bunch of toys and your baby is either bored or does whatever damage he will do, take it apart to recycle what can be salvaged. I always have a container next to the sink of toy parts that have been ripped off and need to be cleaned...

and here is a kit to get you a jumpstart in making your own toys. Before you know it, you'll be coming up with all kind of toys you'll baby will love. And every bird is different, some like plastic, other wood some like soft wood / kabob type shredding woods, others cardboard, dried pods, banana leaves, etc.

The cork and tags are in my wishlist right now to purchase others are just items I've purchased and keep handy in bulk to replace or rework toys.

I would invest in some of the more durable plastic foraging toys that can be washed, refilled and use over and over again.

My conure loves her rope twist perch thingy. It's a big coiled braided multi colored rope. I see them in most of the pictures here. I assume amazon sells them. I like all of the toys that bob1 suggested!

here is one on amazon! And yes, conures love these!! Monkey and Monster have their own and we have to purchase another rope hanging toy for Loki (sun baby) because they chase him off. I have one hanging on the front of Ivory's cage too, she naps on it or climbs thru to get to the toys on it.
