If I am suddenly missing from this forum, it may be because I have been arrested for kidnapping and suspected child abuse.. They won't find a body though. We travel for business most of the fall and by necessity, Sunny's travel cage is much smaller than her home cage. It is placed in a small area in our trailer, with a little porthole window for her to look out. We use it as a sleep cage, but many days she has to spend some time in it and yesterday was no exception. As I got ready to leave the trailer, she was sitting glumly staring out her prison cell window. Just then some kids ran by playing, and as I stepped out of the trailer, I heard her wail after them, in her best five year old girls voice "HELP"....... :11:. Uh oh, Do you suppose this is what she does when we aren't there? I know she won't open that beak to say a word to defend me, when they come for me!

Hahahahahaha that bird is crazy!!! I love it. Just tell them you dont need one phone call you just need one forum post, we will bail you out!!!

ROFLMAO. Too funny!!!!! Awesome story. You had me worried there for a moment when I first read your title, lol. :)

I have had that happen!! Luckily, the neighbor was home and told the police that it was Josie, our macaw. We made a sign for the front window in case it happens again. Good luck!

LOL. Josiesmom, now every kidnapper knows all he needs is a sign saying " it's the macaw!" Macaws do seem to be natural pranksters and yes, Mike, I'm sure she would sell me out. She was sitting on my husbands shoulder yesterday trying to get the buttons on his shirt. He kept pushing her away, and finely told her sternly to quit it. That tickled her funny bone and she broke into a belly laugh. That made him laugh too and while he was laughing she got the chain around his neck. Respectful child that she is, she kept right on laughing while he tried to pry the chain from her firmly clamped beak!

Haha! It's as if her message to him was: "That was funny... BUT here's something that's even funnier!!! :p"

Plax, isn't that just a macaw sense of humor. Sunny likes to tell unintelligible jokes and then roar with laughter. I guess they're jokes even if I can't understand more than a few words because she thinks they are so darn funny!

LOL Oh dear!! Naughty Sunny, going to get mumma in trouble lol!

Well it is true.....our birds are no different than our kids when it comes to embarrasing us in public....lol Our CAG does this very long seductive wolf whistle and it is loud! Of course he chooses to do it at the moment when someone is walking by the window!! So when we moved into our new community we did alot of explaining and introduced our feathered friends to our neighbors. They were all beginning to wonder about us...lol

She would make a bad lawyer LOL. Ever need somebody to bail you out just post on forum. My friends African grays has a vast vocabulary, most of them we didn't teach her. I would teach her some manners like, thank you, I owe it all to you, a polite little laugh until last month. We were riding in her car to the movies and polly wanted to ride with us. We stopped for gas and as my friend left the car . Then Polly screamed bloody murder, then she yelled IM GOING TO DIE! HELP, CALL THE POLICE ! Everybody looked at us in the gas station. They're was also a police car, we had to do a LOT of explaining to do .Probly she knew this from all the Halloween marathon movies she wanted to watch LOL This is why Polly can't ride in the car with us.

You are indeed correct! Salsa does the same thing. He'll say something and then laugh like a fool about it. Then there's Zaf. He likes to put his vice-like beak grip on objects that I'm trying to use (such as a spoon that I'm attempting to eat with). He then refuses to release that grip while uttering the most fiendish sounding laughter you can imagine. It's a "ha ha ha" kind of laughter but the voice and tone he uses makes it sound as if it's coming from a little demon. Each time he does it, I myself then can't help but crack up :D

I know that little demon laugh. Do you think it is macabre humor, not macaw humor? Birdlover11, LOL, I hope Sunny never learns to yell "call the police".

Well, hehe, I don't know about that... I think it's more like "Now I'm controlling what YOU want to do and there's not a flippin' thing you can do about it!" ;)

We are trying to eliminate CALL THE POLICE, IM GOING TO DIE! But all we got so far is, CALL THE POPO, IM GOING HOME ! We were teaching her some some words then we went into the kitchen to eat somthing. The tv was on and brittney spears were on, the song tik tock. She got the word " popo " from the line were brittney got arrested by the police in the video " popo shut us down down popo shut us down " What will we do without birds, sigh....

OMG...we want to teach our CAG to talk....right now he knows all kinds of techno sounds....not sure i want him to learn after reading these....lol
