Ideas for making bird's life more exciting

Do you guys have any creative but simple things to introduce to a bird that will get them excited? I'm lucky Tangie my mom's Senegal seems content relaxing on my hand while I watch Netflix or read, but I'm looking for news ways to let him have fun without spending a lot of money. He already has a giant play stand that he loves.

You could make on those play necklaces people have. Like the plastic chain and add a bunch of toys to it to wear around your neck while you are reading or whatever

Gracie has lots of toys. Some great ideas I've found in the DIY forum Do It Yourself & the toy forum Parrot Toys.
She also loves straws. So if I'm just looking for her to have something that will keep her occupied & happy.. I'll fill a straw with all different things, pellet pieces, nuts, seeds, dried fruit/veggie pieces etc. I just plug an end with a pellet and shove them in there then plug the other end with a pellet. I also freeze them with veggie or fruit juices in them and give them to her frozen. Works great if I'm trying to introduce her to something new too.

Yw Anytime. Works really well if ya got a picky "visual" eater. Gracie looks at food and makes snap decisions that to toss without ever tasting. This way she can have fun tearing apart the straw and get to the yummy veggies or goodies that I can't get her to eat otherwise like broccoli cauliflower kale pieces. A skewer works great for packing the stuff down in the straw

New foraging activities. There's a lot you can do with paper, cardboard, muffin cups, shredded paper, PVC piping, straws, bottle caps, and more!!!


Or teaching new behaviors... like turn around, dance, big eagle, retrieve, etc!

Not sure this counts as foraging but I gave Plum a pic nic on the lounge floor yesterday LOL. Table cloth spread out and he had three choices of food and went round them all, phew! Got friends Pat Conure here for 3 1/2 weeks and with the weather being hot and sticky, he's not best impressed at the mo , oh dear. Had hardly eaten all day, but it worked a treat and today is another day
