I only had my previous child (2nd) just over 4 months ago *insert grouchy growl* So I'd better not be pregnant again! I know if I was I'd be all "YAAAY! but until then... NOO! And I swear if it's my body acting like the time the Docs believed I had major issues like kidney and liver stones but no.. no every single thing in my body was normal.. my body is just INSANE and likes trickery.

I went to the Doctors for a pregnancy blood test about a month ago, as I was late for my 'woman's part of the month'. I can usually go 2 months between them, it had been over 3 months. Blood test results came back negative. But for the last week I have been feeling nauseous (almost all day), have been gagging at random times, my lower abdomen is sore, and my breathlessness/slight difficulty breathing (let say that again.. SLIGHT) has been a little worse meaning much more noticeable.

So now I haven't had my 'part of the month' for 4 months...

Could I really be pregnant after only 4 or possibly 3 weeks? Or has anyone else had similar/the same symptoms and knows what it could be? I'm not going to bother going to the Doctor yet unless someone else actually thinks I really should.

I despise nausea... *eye twitch*

Ooh no :( I'm so sorry. Hopefully you're not, but I do suggest seeing the doctor - if you are Preggo, I'm assuming its best to know, and if you're not, then you need treated !
(Hugs) best of luck

Mm. Aww thank you for the hugs! ^^ *hugs back* I suppose so, I just don't see the point of strapping the little kiddlies in the car and driving to the Doctors if I'm absolutely fine. It's getting embarrassing rushing to the Hospital and going to the Doctors when everything is actually normal and fine, my body is just fooling me.

My good friend was never supposed to get pregnant again and she's pregnant for 3 months now, I told her she was but the pregnantcy test all lied as they all said she wasn't. She thought she had a tumor in my belly as its growing bigger. She went to have an ultra sound done and sure enough she is pregnant.

O.O Oh my.. did she get blood tests though?

All the symptoms you describe sure sound like the possibility of being pregnant.

Hmm. Normal pregnancy symptoms.. I haven't felt before haha. My first pregnancy I didn't even know I was pregnant until I was over 3 months. No mornign sickness, no nausea.. nothing.. and then at the end of the pregnancy i just had the baby.. simple. Haha was completely a 'textbook' pregnancy.

The 2nd was not exactly normal, originally having twins, one re-absorbing leaving its sack of waters, severe UTI's, Vitamin D deficiencies, low iron anemia, threatened preterm labour regularly since 23 weeks pregnant.. waters breaking twice, results coming back saying it was definitely the amniotic fluid, they do an examination.. no.. I have amniotic fluid still in my belly and everythings closed. Hmm. I was pretty much in hospital for the last half of the pregnancy, partly just for observation.

So I have yet to experience a normal, somewhat unpleasant pregnancy. Though I'm not keen on being pregnant again.. not after my last pregnancy. BUT baby ended up perfectly fine so I'm sure if there's a next one it'll be ok too. But yes.... :S

I just remembered.. A few years ago I was diagnosed by the Doctor that I had a Hiatus Hernia... Could it be that playing up again perhaps? *thinking of calling the Doctor*

Kinny, call the doctor. Whatever's going on, it's stressing you and probably making the nausea and everything feel so much worse. You don't have to feel that awful - it's why we have doctors - so get treated and whatever's going on you can manage it one way or another.

Are you breast-feeding? Sometimes, your hormones can float around a bit and give you uneasy symptoms like the ones you're having. Really, the only one who can tell you is your doctor. Hiatus hernia can cause nausea and weird abdominal pain. It would also explain your feeling breathless if it's tucking into your diaphragm. But then, so would an early pregnancy. Why don't you ring the doctor and ask if he thinks you need to be seen. He will either reassure you or give you an appointment.

Does your local hospital have a help-line? Or, are you connected with a baby health clinic? Either of those would be a good alternative. Do let us know how you get on, won't you ? Sending extra hugs, just in case. :)

You do have a point..

No, I only breast-fed for the first week because I had severe engorgement and then got mastitis, I went on the pump as well, started to go down in supply which was good, but it kept decreasing, so they also put me on domperidone (the medication to increase milk supply) but it did nothing and they dried up completely in a day. So no, just formula feeding.

Mmmm good point. Yes, we have a GP Helpline where you can talk to registered Nurses or/and Doctors free of charge.

Will do :)

I agree with Betrisher- it's obviously stressing you, so if only to relieve that stress you should get it checked out! Another thing to consider (not sure what it's like in SA at the moment) I know that a lot of people here have allergies playing up badly - even if they haven't had them before!

I just found out that I'm going to be an auntie again. My sister has PCOS, which means that getting pregnant can be very difficult, and may require taking medication and trying to get pregnant via IVF.

Her first child, my nephew, was born January of 2011. Her second child is due in May of next year. At least, that's the estimate. She's a pretty happy mother.

My sister suspects I might have PCOS as well, but I doubt it. I've never had any kids and I'm not interested in having kids. I don't know what it's like having any kind of pregnancy!

I agree with the others though... best to ask your doctor and make sure you are healthy! (well, as healthy as can be with your weird body quirks... if you are pregnant or it is the hernia, then that would at least help explain things!)

Oh!... o_O I know just before I started feeling ill there was a perfect circle of 6 insect bites on my hip, so don't know if that has anything to do with it.

Oh wow! Hahaha pregnancy is definitely worth bringing a new life into the world, but it doesn't mean it's always pleasant or enjoyable. I've been lucky AND unlucky lol. Mmm. I didn't call in the end because I felt much better a little later, but it's back again.. so I'll have to call shortly (after i finish feeding my daughter and the birds) *sighs* So much for going down to the Art Gallery today.. I can't even walk without feeling ill.

Good luck!!! I was honestly hoping we'd get a confirmation today....go ahead, you can slap me now. :54:

Both my pregnancies honestly were a walk in the park. With Mike I never got sick, with Mark the only thing that made me nauseous was the smell of chicken. Now the deliveries are a different story. Both my boys were born in Military hospitals, absolutely NO medication whatsoever. Au natural. With Mike the entire hospital was aware someone was giving birth. With Mark I kept it to myself, but nearly popped him out in the hallway, on my way to the delivery room.:eek:

Hahaha, sorry about that. ;)

:O Lucky! Haha I had zero pain relief too, my body reacts well to gas so for my daughter I was going to have gas, requested it, midwives took 20 minutes to bring it in and by then I was in the pushing stage. *cough* I tried not to scream but I got a tear/rip so yes.. I did in the end lol. Oh how embarrassed i was. With my son the labour was only 1 hour so it was EXCRUCIATING and I almost demanded an epidural (even though there are risks) but then it was over... O.O EVERYONE knew I was having him hahaha...

OH MY hahahaha you must've hidden that well. ;P

Just go to the drug store and get a pregnancy test. These tests are pretty reliable and pick up on HCG levels should they be present in your urine. All of your symptoms could mean your going to start too.

Kinny,

I'm not sure what type of test she's run but I'm going by what she told me and she actually bought one of those ept test thing once as well and it was false.

SoCalWendy: I suppose so, but if I'm only 3 or 4 weeks pregnant it might nto even show up..?

Kinny,

I'm not sure what type of test she's run but I'm going by what she told me and she actually bought one of those ept test thing once as well and it was false.

My Doctor? (Doc is a he.. had a she before him but she was AWFUL! example is when i was in threatened preterm labour and my waters apparently broke, test results came back positive, the first thing the female doc said to me was "Your baby is going to die." and explained heartlessly all the possible ways he could die and how i was going to push out a dead child that evening. Of course that never happened but i changed doctors soon afterwards)

My Doctor did a blood test and a normal pregnancy test thing.. both came back negative. But this was 3 or 4 weeks ago.

Hmm. Called them.. Apparently I should see a Doctor in the next 4 hours and if no Doctors are available at the Clinic, I should go to the ER. o_O I really wish they'd tell me why and what they think it COULD possibly be to be so important...

If your pregnant it will show. When I got pregnant with my daughter, I wasn't sure, I suspected so I took the test. I wasn't even late. If your pregnant HCG WILL be there and it will be detectable. They are so sensitive. Let us know :)

Were you able to get in to see the Doctor? I am praying all is well!
