Lately life has been very hectic and stressful for me.
Having two car accidents in 13 days, seeing about 3 accidents a day, right in front of me, my nerves are finished.
Each night, after dinner Mishka climbs onto his cage, sits there while I clean it. Always attempting to climb on the curtains and climb down. I sternly tell him uh uhhhh and he listens. There are two toys attached on the top of the cage. On his playpen, he always climbs down, and tries to "attack" the lounge suite (zebra strips his favourite) again telling him uhh uhhhh.
Friday morning Steven and myself left home at the same time 7.30am.
Mishka had breakfast, a shower and was playing in his cage. Kissed him goodbye and told him to be a good boy.
At 3pm that afternoon I got a call from Steven, he could not stop laughing, and said how lucky I was.
I had forgotten to lock Mishka cage door... OMG my heart stopped beating. Steven mentioned that Mishka was sitting on top of his cage, talking away.
Thank goodness no windows are opened, near him, except the one in the kitchen. I always keep the blinds closed, THANK GOD.
There were no droppings on the floor, except at the bottom of his cage.
He must have gone inside the cage from time to time to eat and drink, he had eaten lots (checked his bowl) .........then back on top again.
I guess when on top of his cage, he sat there thinking, if I go down Mommy will get cross, best I stay just where I am.
Mishka had 7 and a half hours of "free playtime" outside his cage.
Imagine how different things could have been, ripped curtains, a lounge suite in a million pieces. I would only have myself to blame, Mishka would not have been blamed at all for anything he destroyed.
I AM SO PROUD OF MY BABY
PS there is still no excuse for not locking his cage door ............
We can never ever be to careful
