Mishka's food bowl's nut had worn out, the thread had totally worn away.
I searched the entire apartment, tried different nuts, but none fitted.
I then replaced it with another one BUT this particular bowl fits into the bars, nothing to hold it firmly and permanently.
I began threading a shoelace through, boy did Mishka think this fun. As I threaded it through he began pulling it and holding one. He kept saying to me "mommy listen to me" and repeating it over and over again. I ignored him. I was frustrated after an hour, I eventually lost my patience with him, and placed him on his swing. I knew it was a matter of time before Mishka chewed the shoelace....... he had already began
Last night while preparing dinner, Mishka was walking around, Steven watching TV. Suddenly Steven jumped up and reprimanded Mishka, in a very stern voice. He said mommy come look what Mishka has done. Mishka chewed my keyboard cord........ I picked Mishka up, placed him on his play stand. I never reprimanded explaining to Steven it was my fault for being so careless.
I am always careful, hiding my keyboard cord, obviously this time not.
Mishka knew he had done something wrong, he sat so still not saying a word, just watching us.
He had chewed it threads were "hanging". Steven got his tool box out and asked me for the wire cutters, I had to empty the entire box to find them. I found them AND a little box with all odds and ends for Mishka's cage. Steven began repairing the keyboard cord. Thankfully the keyboard is working 100% THANKS STEVEN !!!!!
Guess what !!!!!! I found a packet with nuts and bolts.
I found a few nuts, a few fitted Mishka food bowl.
I was so happy, knowing the shoelace one would probably have lasted a day if I was lucky.
When replacing his bowl in his cage, I showed Mishka the nut and explained why I am so happy.
Looking at the nut, Mishka replies "when will you listen to me mommy"
I burst out laughing and though, when Mishka was saying "mommy listen to me"
Would he have told me the nuts were in Steven's tool box?
I should have listened to him !!!!!!
