I find it a bit odd they didn't specify the type of pionus they lost, but I hope they find their babe all the same!

I have to agree. If anyone finds the parrot, I would suggest you ask the owner for a description of the pionus (i.e unique traits, markings, scars... perhaps even unique words it knows).

I found a pregnant stray dog once. Someone called (re: a 'found' ad I posted online) to claim her, but when I asked what color/height/breed they weren't able to answer. The REAL owners called a few days later, they were able to fit her description to a 'T'!
