I saw Patches preening! Yippee!

Hi everyone...I decided to go with the name Patches. I needed a name - it's hard walking into the room every day and just saying...good morning "blank." So, today, while I was staring at him in the cage the name Patches came to me and I really like it. I hope he learns to like it.

BUT the best news is...yesterday I saw him PREENING! He didn't do it long but he was preening...not plucking. Yea!!! Tomorrow he gets another soaking shower. I don't do them everyday but right now I'm trying to make it every other day or at least twice a week.

LOVE the name Patches for him Even after he gets all his feathers back, he still has patches.... of red and white on his head I'm glad you saw him preening. Hopefully with all the toys and love he will start preening in a healthy way and not chew his feathers anymore.

Thank you! Yep - I was thinking of those patches on his head. It's hard to see the blue right now...I'm hoping that its the lighting in the room he is in. I'm so in love.
