Late last night I left the living room to get myself a treat and as I walked out I turned and looked at my dog (a pug) to see if she was going to follow me. She looked like she wasn't going anywhere anytime soon and I went to the dimly lit kitchen. I have a bag of hershey kisses in the freezer (I like them that way) that I took out and started untwisting the tie. As I was doing this and the bag was making crinkling noises, I wondered if that would get the dogs attention so I glanced down to see if she was entering the kitchen and I saw her walking toward me. A moment later, when I was done removing a few kisses and closing the bag, I looked down for her and she was nowhere to be seen. I walked back into the living room and there she was exactly as she was when I left. Then I realized that it wasn't her that I saw, it was my previous pug dog that passed over 5 years ago.

Awwwwww.....did you freak out afterwards???

Wow. Now that you know he is there, you can keep an eye out for him more often. What did you think and feel like after you realized it was your pug that had already crossed over?

I once had a house bunny come home a few days after he passed. My two dogs and two cats seen him. The cats chased him, hair puffed out, into the bathroom.
I didn't realize what I had seen. I thought it had a rodent, maybe a baby raccoon in the house and grabbed a broom to char it out of the house. When I went into the bathroom and nothing was there I realized what we all saw.
I cried bittersweet tears.
He was a sweet bunny. Really they all have been. I wonder if my animals ever think of him, or if they understand what they seen that night with me?

What an awesome story!!! Gave me goosebumps all over.

IMHO loved ones never leave us completely, and find ways to show us they are around when we least expect it.

And yes, by "loved ones" I mean our beloved furry and feathered friends just as much as the 2-legged ones.
