My heart is in pieces. I lost my Waffle. Though I haven't known you long, you'll always be loved. Fly free at the bridge, my little Waffle.

I am so sorry for your loss:( Fly free, Sweet Waffle, you will be missed:(

I'm so sorry to hear this. Waffle and Pancake are the ones you found in the street and were very young and still needed handfeeding right? What happened if I may ask?

I am so sorry to hear this. You rescued a pair and worked so hard to rehabilitate them. Deepest condolences for Waffle.

I'm not sure what happened tbh. I woke up this morning and Waffle was weak and lethargic. I gave him formula but he took it sparingly. He was so lethargic the whole afternoon, I had been preparing myself for the worst and it finally happened earlier this evening. There are so many things going through my head right now. I cried like a baby for the first hour or so wondering if it could have been something I did? Something I didn't do?

Without knowing their history or health it is hard to say if they were maybe sick when you got them, but don't blame yourself. You did the best you could with these birds and so now I hope Pancake is doing okay and you can save him and he can live a long life.

Oh Waffle. I’m so sorry.

Jmdc your intervention probably gave Waffle much longer than he may have had otherwise. Thinking of you xx

Thank you for all the support everyone. Today was Pancake and mine's first full day without Waffle and I can definitely feel his the lose of his presence. It's harder on Pancake, I often see him walking around their broody box definitely looking for Waffle to snuggle up against. Is there anyway I can help him?

I'm sorry to hear about Waffle. I feel for Pancake. Just like my Pewpew when his cage mate Kiki passed away.

I am sure Pancake will appreciate the extra attention and treats from you. You will most likely draw comfort from this as well. I'm sorry you're going through this. Thinking of both you and Pancake tonight.
