Well i guess Yoshi chose my daughter to be his mate. She doesn't even handle him. It started yesterday when she went to his cage to talk to him, he was outside of his cage . Everytime she asked him to move a certain direction he did it, and he was talking up a storm with her. Oh and i left the main thing out, he regurgitated. I dont get it, he's only 5 months old and my daughter is scared ****less to handle him.

Parrots move in mysterious ways...

Lots of good advice here about managing this stuff! Stay tuned!

Welcome. Glad you found us!

Although, Yoshi is presenting clear signs of caring for your daughter. At 5 months it 'maybe' more a crush than Love-At-First-Sight.

Please know that you do not have to say, but if your daughter is young and therefore on the small side. It could be just as likely, it is a comfort with a smaller Human. Over the next month, you will clearly see, which way this plays out.

Hi, please don't let this affect your relationship with Yoshi. Birds are capable of having many different relationships with many different people. Take my friends RB2, he will let only me and her mum cuddle him no one else, he does tricks only for his mum and runs to his dad for a tickle. Even though his is a little so and so with his mum, biting her lip etc he knows who to go to for reassurance if he is scared. Keep going you are doing great and who wants to be regurgitated on anyways? :)

Jut make sure to socialize Yoshi with everyone in the family. Salty has his person, me, but will hang out with anyone .

Im still mommy to him and that will never change. We were all cuddles and play wrestling last night as usual. Nothing is changing, my daughter is a bit weirded out but i told her to continue talking with him.

I really am trying. He just doesnt like me boys. They're young and loud and i dont blame him, they give me headaches all the time. I still with him and my boys. Im confident that as they all grow up together, Yoshi will be more accepting of my boys.

Ignore it and if Yoshi is out of his cage, return him for a few minutes, time out. It's not a wanted behaviour, natural and a real compliment to your daughter but not necessary Yoshi. Bless him.

Kids and fids love having fun don't they? Why not set up some tricks for your daughter to have Yoshi do? It will build some confidence in her hopefully and keep Yoshi occupied from other things LOL.

Its so funny you say that because she was trying to teach him tricks and than the attraction happened 😂😂😂

Was Yoshi getting a little over excited/stimulated? He's still very young (and adorable) so that could be why. Watch for the body language, hopefully you will see some signs it is happening.
