So I've been letting Oz's flight feathers grow because I want him to be come flighted. The problem is in the last 2 days he's flown into windows thrice. There were no injuries yet but it worries me so much! I was wondering if this could help? I know it's for wild birds, but would it be worth a shot?

Window Decals, Bird Feeders, Bird Bath And Bird Houses At Windowalert

YES, window decals are a GREAT idea for the windows!!! Give them a try, I'm sure Oz will quickly realize to avoid those windows. :)

What do you mean by window decals? I am thinking of letting Felixs' flight feathers grow in fully but I had the same concern.....where can one purchase such decals?

But would this kind work on him? They'd be on the outside side of the windows so would he see the glow as well as the wild birds? I like these because they can also help the birds outside to not get hurt =)

Decals are good, I've used them with success. With my conure I used suction -cup hooks, and hung streamers and paper on each window so she avoided them like the plague. It helps to take Oz to each window and mirror by hand and have him explore each one, figuring out what it is safely. This is a very short phase, he will learn quickly and you'll be able to relax about it. The benefits of flight are so, so worth it. :) make sure he pecks and explores each window. This will pass very quickly.

Yeah, first thing I did when he got enough feathers to fly was give him the grand tour of every window and trying to show him they're solid. =)

Flew into the window again today. The weird thing is, 10 seconds later, he tried to do it again, same window but we managed to catch him in time.

I've ordered my decals and we're thinking of using blinds for our patio door. I'm so terrified that he'll just fly into the window and break his little neck =( It's weird because the only window he hasn't tried to go trough is the one in my room, where he spends most of his time.
