I don't get updates to threads I've subscribed to.

i have my user cp set to instant email notifications if i subscribe to a thread and i also set it to automatically subscribe if I post. but i don't receive any emails to let me know of a new post. why?

i actually started using a different forum right after i got my parrot cuz i thought no one ever answered me on here. i also check my spam, but nope i get nothing and i've made sure my email is correct too.

Ok- I figured it out

There's one additional step, so it is still set to "no email notification"

In the user CP, under settings and options click edit options, click the menu (in photo above) and turn on instant email notifications

Well I realized that I did it to MY profile lol so Sand will have to still change the settings, but sent the instructions via PM

as i mentioned, i already have it set to send instant email notifications. all of my settings are set the correct way.

i for SURE know how to utilize the CP functions. i belong to plenty of other forums too, the instant email notification works for all of my forums except this one.

ya me too. i'm not being impatient, i only highlighted what they didnt see before and i was explaining myself. i will be happy to private message someone my password and they can look at it too, since no one else has this problem. so you two get notices in your email then? is that true?

No, I don't get notified because I have that UNCHECKED. If I were to automatically subscribe to all threads I replied to, I'd be sorting through emails all day long.

Well, I had mine turned off because that would be too many emails for me too, but I turned it on yesterday (lol) and have not received any email notifications.

I changed mine to daily as well, so we'll see what happens...


I personally use TapaTalk with my iPhone- and it sends me INSTANT notifications, and it alerts me fairly quickly of replies to threads and PM's (another reason I don't need email notifications).

yep that is bizarre cuz all my other forum go there and they work. i belong to fish and kitty cat forums plus 3 other bird forums. oh well
