My little Jardine's Parrot is 14 weeks old today and on somewhere around 1 1/2 feedings a day - I can't stand waiting to bring him/her home!
I visit everyday around lunchtime and take him out - I bring fresh veggies and a toy and we sit together. He's been exploring with his beak, but been very gentle (so far). Unfortunately my boyfriend can't come as often I do, but I hope that we can both spend some time there this weekend with the little guy. He's been perching nicely on my hand and has pretty good balance.
We've got his/her cage all set up, food, playstand, toys, etc. All we need is the bird! I was told 2 weeks is the most likely, but that he could decide at any time to stop taking formula. I want him to come home when he's ready, but I'm so impatient...
Anyone else have to wait to bring their bird home? How long? How did you stand it? I waited to bring home my TAG and I remember it being agonizing, but I'd forgotten just how impatient I get.
