i am the mom of three parrots:
Dorothy- African grey (cag)
Bowie- blue and gold macaw
Nellie- hyacinth macaw
Reggie- hyacinth macaw
Marnie- white bellied caique
I have been searching for a baby or juvenile hyacinth macaw and I have had terrible luck. I know I have asked this several months ago and I just reached out to henpecked but I'm wondering if anyone might know of any.

I can understand your problem. Not like everyone is breeding them, and that's a good thing!

Some suggestions:

Contact your Avian Vet(s) in your area. Breeders commonly have a Vet or two they can get to quickly.

Search for 'Bird' clubs in your area and Statewide. In the past, Breeders commonly belonged to their local Bird Club.

Pet Shops in your area and Statewide.

And, then spread nearby States.

Best of Luck on your Search!

I have heard babies are extremely hard to find and that breeders have waitlists on them.

I think @ravensgryf and @birdman666 may know of where you can get one. I think Julie knows a store where she lives that has them sometimes and Mark knows who actually breeds them.

Good luck in your search!

I know I've been first on several waiting lists but nothing. It's frustrating.
Thank you for you responses. Fingers crossed something pops up.

I just remembered having seen him a while back on our local bird stores website and when I checked online he is still there! They are a very reputable store up here in Portland who take excellent care of their birds. Not sure if they ship or if you'd have to drive or fly to pick him up, but it may be worth giving them a call.
