Hey, my name is Jessica and I've been obsessed with birds since year 4 (7/8 years ago).

Ive had budgies, cockatiels, galahs and an Eclectus.

I had small birds up until year 6, then got my first "big" bird, a galah named Harley which I rescued. I had him for 4 years, up until 2 months ago when the strong wings came and opened up his cage ):. I then saw him a few hours later with a female from one of the local flocks!

I recently (5 days ago) got a new fid, a Male eclectus parrot (supposably a pure bred) and he is 16 weeks old. His name is Kio.

Here is a picture or Harley and Kio :D

Welcome to the forums, Jessica! Your pictures are beautiful, and yes, Kio is pure Eclectus!!

Living in Australia with flocks of parrots outside must be amazing! I hope Harley has a wonderful life, perhaps he will return to visit?

Oh my god another Kyo!!! :D Yay! (I call my conure Kyo short for Kyoto).

Welcome to the forum!!

Welcome and be welcomed. At least your Galah, Harley, was able to join a local flock of the same species. I've lost a parrot, an Amazon, but there are no native flocks of Amazon parrots up here in New York City. I never found him.

SO, one thing you will want to change is how your Ekkies cage door locks, right?
