Hello everyone! I am a proud new parront and wanted to introduce myself to the forum. I have a degree in wildlife and fisheries science from Texas A&M with a degree emphasis on mammalogy and, you guessed it, ornithology. Critters are mine and my husband's passion and we have our own little zoo including 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 mixed reef tanks and our Alexandrine. I've worked in the field and gotten to "play" with many species including the endangered Attwater's prairie chicken, golden cheeked warbler and black capped vireo. I had birds as a kid, but it has always been a dream of mine to share my home with a parrot. After much discussion and reaching a stable point in our lives, we finally bit the bullet 2 weeks ago and introduced Clover the Alex to our home.She has been a great addition to our family and I've already found lots of great advice on here. I look forward to continue learning and sharing with all of you!
