Jade - RFM
Max - Alexandrine (HRH Di)
Ruby - CAG (HRH Di)
My wife (HRH Di) and I are fairly new to birds and have absolutely fallen in love with them. We currently have Max (Alexandrine) that is Diana's, he really does love her best, and I am waiting on Jade (Red Fronted Macaw) to finish weening so she can come join us. We were lucky to find an fantastic local breeder and have been going to see Jade every weekend for the last 5 months.

I looking forward to learning from everyone here and will post up pictures soon.

Thanks,
Dan

Okay, no jokes about us sitting side by side with our laptops posting at the same time!

Thank you for the warm welcome!

It has been a long 5 months! When we went to see her on Monday, the breeder said it will only be 2-3 more weeks. :jumping40
Pics are coming...

It is not often that one gets to see their bird so young. How nice. I know your both will be fantastic guardians. We are all here for you should you have any concerns and please keep on sharing your lovely photos. Thanks and welcome

Welcome! I was lucky enough also to be involved with my babies after being pulled from mama. It's a fantastic expeirence to watch them feather and grow. Congrats. How's life and the weather in McKenney? We moved to Florida from Irving 9 years ago, but since my husband and I both have family there, we travel back and forth.:green1:

McKinney is good, we moved out here 10 years ago and really like it. We're supposed to get rain today and a high in the mid 60s.

How's Florida?

I was just reading up on the red fronted macaw and how when they're flying they can stop, hover like a humming bird and even turn. Sound like a really interesting bird with a lot of mechanical abilities like to taking apart their cages.

They really are amazing flyers. She's still very young but already has some done some pretty amazing aerobatics.
