Having asked fearful & concerned health related questions here, often borne from inexperience a few times and seeing other members doing the same, wonder if a thread highlighting 'danger signs' would not be a good idea?

For instance, if you notice the following, you would need to get your bird to an AV :

1. Continuous watery stools (more than a day)
2. Change in stools that doesn't return to normal within a day
3. Bird perched low in the cage or on the floor.
4. Change in eating habits
Etc.

It may also be a good idea to list some "not to be overly concerned just yet" behaviours ...although I wouldn't know what these would be, because I panic over every thing ;)

What do other members think?

I have a great document at home that we got from the rescue.
It has 3 categories, urgent, need attention and monitor. I'll try to remember to scan it into this thread.

Discharge from nares
Blood anywhere
tail bobbing while breathing
wheezing
discharge from eyes

Thanks for your input, everyone. I think I should edit the first post to include everyone's responses in one easy reference. What do you think? I will definately keep referring to this thread.

I think we need some 'bad' poop pics too.

Oh My Gosh, that last poop is how some of Rico's look....
I feel like he's not eating enough. That made it more of a concern.... Of to make another thread so I don't hijack!

This is a REALLY good thread, though!
