Hi I got my lovey beau who is a dream to have, I also have marley (Indian ringneck) who we are trying to tame with the use of beau. I want to put both birds in the same cage 1 to save space and 2 so there not alone. My question is what's the best way to introduce them into the same cage, so far all I have done is keep the cages next to each other. Beau couldn't care about marley but marley is very interested in beau and because of the size difference I worried that marley might hurt beau. Beau is flighted he can get away but marley got a horrible clip from the man I saved him from and I think he will be a bit defensive anyone got any advise on how to do it..

Thanks guys

If there is a size difference I would keep them in seperate cages. After the quarrentine time is passed if you are doing that then keep the cages next to each other but out of reach of either beak. They will still keep each other company but without bloodshed and each bird will have their own space:)

I would be very cautious about putting them in the same cage. If it were me, I wouldn't attempt this at all. I would take aliray's advice to heart. Even if they seem to get a long for a very long period of time, you could one day come home to a horrible outcome if you cage them together.
