Good morning everyone,
As you all may have remembered after much deliberation I took the plunge and added a 2 month old tiel to our flock. She is affectionately called Pudgie and it's been 3 weeks and although I interact with her everyday she seems scared of me and goes off in the opposite direction if I m trying to give her head scratches or millet. If I leave her alone with the millet she devours it but refuses to take it from my hand. She has a sweet temperament and whistles quite a bit particularly during our play time outside, however I ve been wondering what can I do to hand tame her? I would very much like a cuddly tiel that enjoys head scratches and interacting with me. Thank you very much. Here's a pic of my little girl. Cheers :)

It seems like you are doing a lot right. She just seems shy of you, not aggressive so that's pretty good. Just give it a couple more weeks, she still needs to get used to you. My aggressive cockatiel took a month or two to except millet and treats from my hands. You are doing great, and just keep spending time with her! And congrats on your new little addition! :)

Have you tried feeding her first thing in the morning by hand before she eats?
