How to get conure into a new hut?

Hi, my 2 year old sun conure Apollo had sort of a make shift sleeping hut when we got him, but its extremely bulky and takes up way too much room. I tried to put and actual hut in and he wont touch it, at first he seemed intrigued, but soon decided it wasnt his cup of tea. Does anyone have tips on how I can get him to like it?

Hi there and welcome to the forum!

I think the best advice we can give you in this particular case is to go along with Apollo's opinion and don't use the happy hut. A lot of accidents happen with sleeping huts. They can swallow bits of fabric or even get tangled in the hut. If Apollo shows no interest, I wouldn't insist.

My gcc Mozzie spent his first night in his hut and hasn't been in it since.

I got Artemis a hut but he looked at it like it was poisoned whereas my lovebirds adore their tent. I think it depends on the bird, so maybe don't pressure him.

My JoJo looks at a hut as death.
