I think Beakers nails are getting too long, but not sure how much to clip off.

Last time he was at the vet, he squaked of pain every time the vet clipped a nail. Is that normal?

I can clip the very tip (like 0.5mm) and he won't squawk. But I think it needs like 1.5 or 2mm clipped. What do you think? I don't want him to bleed. What should I do?

Well here is the rule of thumb and what I was taught in my vet assistAnt program. Where the toe nail goes fr. Being slender and pointed to flat is we're the quick should be located. So cut just slightly below that. If that makes any sense to you at all... If he starts to freak out and scream when you apply Alittle pressure you may have the quick or he may just be being a jokester. If you make him bleed a little it is not the end of the world just clot it and trim less next time:p, it happens to everyone... I do suggest Dremel tools though because you have a much less chance at hurting them IMO.
