Kia Ora Friends,

I'm curious to know how many toys should be in your baby's cage when he arrives home for the first time, and has to go in to a cage he's never seen before, which is potentially full of toys he doesn't know?

I've followed advice and put a towel down with newspaper on top of it in the bottom of the cage and have arranged the perches lower, the cage is not very deep (in case he slips and falls).

Thankyou:grey:

I would actually put a lot in the cage. Greys need lots of intellectual stimulation. Put a varied assortment in the cage. You'll find out your Grey's favorite toys soon enough. Oddly enough you can take out the toys they dont play with and put them in the spot of a favored toy later on and they might play with it because of the location. We started our Grey with lots of foot toys in a pail hanging in one corner. Smaller wood chewing toys, toys with crunchy shredders, paper based toys and a simple foraging toy. I think she basically started with about 7 toys in the cage and 4 on the play top. Make sure to leave your baby room to flap it's wings. Congrats on your new Grey!

Thankyou so much Grinder! I will do an interior rearrangement today in his cage, he arrives in four days!

Good luck. We'll wait for pictures and updates from you about your new grey.

I'd say 2 to 3 pieces.

But have to change the positions and the pieces every one to two weeks.
