How long should nails be?

I've had Pippi for almost a year, and I haven't trimmed her nails. She sleeps on a cement perch every night, so I was told that I most likely would not have to trim her nails. However, I wasn't sure exactly what length they should be, and I think they've gotten a bit longer since I got her. Are her nails too long? (Sorry about the bad picture; she was trying to get at the camera ) Thanks in advance!

My vet said put the bird on a flat surface and if the toes are unusually raised, trim the nails. If the nails hurt you while handling, it is time to trim.
