My green cheek conure was my first bird and I am so in love with birds that I want another conure to add to my flock! I'm not home for 10 hours a day because school is 8 hours and it's a while away from where I live so I'm sure my little girl would like a cage neighbor to chirp to. I have found some gorgeous species of conures (some that I never heard of until now), and some are bred in areas near me. The species I am most excited about is the Crimson Bellied Conure. How beautiful! I found one for $100 but he is not tame and he's a year and a half. Is it hard to tame a conure at that age? If you tamed one yourself, how long did it take? I assume having a tame bird will show the untame one that my hand is not a big scary monster. Is it a good idea to buy an untamed bird if I have little experience with conures?
