Well, here's one from a little earlier in the day. Henry will come in, and look for Eliza in the Super-Secret-Caiques-Only pillow fort. When he realizes where she is, he makes an unauthorized wing-grab. It didn't go over well...

There is another Labor Day video of a somersault-a-thon in which they both tumbled under the love seat. After videoing an empty floor for a minute, I shut down the camera and just waited for them to roll out again.

Which they did.

You're welcome, sir--glad you enjoyed them. And yes--most of the time I miss the fun stuff because I'm just dying with laughter. In this case, I had been extremely busy Thursday through Sunday, so my plan for Labor Day was to be a complete slug (set achievable goals, I always say!). So I just hung out on the couch, and they played and played.

The other reason I usually miss stuff with the camera is due to a fact that any caique owner already knows. A caique's biggest fear isn't predators. It isn't starving to death. No, the biggest fear a caique faces is the horrifying realization that someone just possibly might be having more fun than they are. So the second I get the camera out and start fiddling with it, Eliza and Henry are usually all over me in a second. In this case, they had already been playing for hours--I think they thought I was still napping!
