Peachfaced Lovebirds
Black masked Lovebird
I just went to check on my birds in their room because I haven't been able to give them as much attention as I'd like the past 3 days because I've been ill. I opened the door and first thing I saw was a little green and red lovebird on top of peaches (another lovebird) cage. At first I thought it was meeko because his and Rosey's cage ive found to be quite easy for them to escape, they just lift the doors for the food bowls (they have locks now so it couldnt of been) I went closer and realised it was Mango (peaches daughter) having a chat to her mum. Then i realised Rio was also out of the cage! sat on the part of a natural tree branch they have as one of their perches that overhangs through the bars and Sweetpea had joined them and was perched on top of Peaches cage looking like she was ready bed. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I picked up Sweetpea and Rio and put them back in and had to towel Mango because she's a biter.
Rio, Mango & Sweetpea share a cage. It's a big cage.
Ive been going to the bird room to check them all day to speak to them (just keeping my sickly distance)
I'll have to put some locks on the cage doors - little escape artists.
I'm glad they didn't get hurt, my main worry would of been toe biting.
