Hormonal time of year?

This is about the time of year green cheeks start to get hormonal, right?
Peeko has started screaming almost all day every day very suddenly and its gotten to the point where 15 seconds of silence earns a sigh of relief. I cant figure out what his issue is, or what he wants. It does seem like its for no apparent reason, although I know they always have a reason, we're just not always good at picking up on what that reason is. I have heard that getting hormonal can cause them to scream more often. Absolutely nothing in his environment or routine has changed.

Numerous folks I talk to are dealing with hormonal birds including me at the moment. My macaws are going into hormones late this time. I'm not sure if due to the weird weather we've been having. Thus I've been bit quite a few times so far, same with my friends....

i have noticed my green cheeks getting frisky now too.
It does mean i can't let my computer mouse out off sight,somehow it is their favorite hump toy....
Thankfully no screaming,they learned that really thankfully right.

I've noticed Sprite constantly looking for small, dark places lately, like under pillows or, his favorite, under my computer while it's on my lap. Sprite's also nearing 3 years old which I believe is full maturity of a green cheek...?

yeah my birds have all been hormonal as well right now. i too blame the strange weather this year, animals can sense those things.
