Hormonal behavior?

Spring is here and it's our first with a 'too. I'm well versed in the signs of hormonal insanity from a Quaker, and Clyde is the only one of the rest of the flock who tends to take out his hormone angst on his mama. But I don't know what to expect from Rocky. He joined the family in April of last year and had come from such a terrible place, with other terrible places before it, that he was busy just trying to survive and we saw no hormones (that I know of) from him last year.

This year, after almost a year of security and good food and two willing slaves who do everything possible to make him feel loved, I think we may be beginning to see the signs of spring fever. So I have two questions: What ARE the signs of spring fever in a male U2? And is there any way to head off the worst of it? With Clyde, the Quaker, I put him to bed earlier and I snuggle less and usually we only have a couple of really bad days, then it's over and we're mostly back to normal, though sometimes it breaks out again a time or two before it's REALLY over. But those bad days with a Quaker usually mean I get a nasty chomp or two or three, and as bad as a chomp from a Quaker is, it can't compare to a chomp from a cockatoo, so I'd like to avoid that if at all possible.
