Holly is so happy and doing so great!!

You know, I almost said no to buying her, because she was scared even in her own home when we went to go see her. She was biting her owners and shaking. But my heart went out to her ....

She is slowly warming up to my kids. (13 and 8) and letting them give her small pets, but only for a minute. But with me, she is giving me so much trust as I introduce her to new things.

I had her sitting on my lap yesterday as I checked my online things. She was nervous, but interested and decided to eat my zipper on my shirt. Then we went to the floor for a few minutes. That frightened her a bit, so we didn't stay long. Each day, I introduce one more new thing to her. Her reaction is always nervousness. but if we keep adding it to her routine of thing each day, she begins to catch on.

she loves her pets now, and as soon as I approach her, the feathers all come up and her head goes down. She is so lovable.
HOWEVER....she absolutely HATES my husband. As soon as he comes near, she turns very threatening and goes after him.... so, he is going to work on building her trust whenever she is away from the cage and just take it one day at a time.
I'm very proud of her.

You are giving Holly her space, to settle down.
Every day, new great changes will occur, the joys of having a bird.
She is in a good home now, happy and content.
