Holiday Traditions?

It's the holiday season again! My family and I celebrate the Americanized Christmas. We are not religious in any way, shape, or form and are perfectly happy with that. We have a Christmas tree, bake Christmas cookies, and send out Christmas cards (of which I decorate the envelopes with lots of stickers ). My first name is "Christine Marie". I was named that by my father because I was born on December 23rd, 8 weeks before I was due. My mother wanted to name me "Ashleigh" (spelled that way) and my father would have nothing to do with that because I was a "Christmas baby". Christine Marie, Merry Christmas, get it? It was his reasoning and I like my name. I baked chocolate chip cookies about an hour ago and am disappointed with how they turned out. I of course HAD to try a different recipe than the usual Nestle Toll House recipe I always do. Why oh why did I have to try a different recipe?! I am so, so, so sad! I was really in the mood for them too!

We watch this movie at least once before Christmas. I watch it year round much to my family's annoyance. "It's July! Why are you watching Rudolph?!"

Anybody else have some traditions they enjoy? (or don't enjoy, lol)

I forgot to write that "Mrs. Claus" always gets my brother and I pajamas for Christmas! Every year since we were born we always got a new pair of pajamas and slippers. When we were younger they always matched. There are a couple really terrible pictures of us matching on Christmas morning wearing new, itchy pjs. I'll have to dig those out and scan them.
I asked my mother a couple weeks ago if Mrs. Claus was going to get me new pjs this year and she was shocked I still wanted them. I LOVE pjs and will spend all day in them if I can get away with it

Your name is so cool hehe!!

I always go for a walk around the cascades near my house, almost every house is lit up so beautifully with xmas lights, and one house has a santa and gives out candy on christmas eve My daughter loves it. Unfortunately less houses are doing the lights now because of the crazy electricity prices! Its a shame. We also go to my aunts at lunch and have the most fun day of playing games and being silly, I really LOVEEE Christmas day!! My favorite day of the year hehe.
