Hello all my name is Derek we just brought home our new Blue Front Amazon his name is Goby! I have a couple questions to ask 1 how where and how much is it to find out the sex on Goby? and When should I take Goby in for the first vet visit? TIA
Hi and welcome Derek and Goby. Very cute baby you have there, are you hand feeding? You can go to Avian Biotech or Animal Genetics to get the kits for sexing, price is under 20.00
How old is the baby? How many feedings? Are you experienced in hand feeding? Or do you have some one, the breeder perhaps there for you should you have any issues? Depending on age I would call your avian vet and confer with them on when you should bring the baby in.
Im not sure exactly how old. I am hand feeding he/she 6/7 times a day. Was told to do this for another week or so and start introducing monkey chow after that along with more hand feedings. Goby is being a little difficult with it but its getting better every time! This is my first time with a baby and it is going well so far! Only had Goby for two days now and I think we are making a good bond already!! Thanks for the info on sexing!

Welcome to the forum. Very cute BFA, about 5-6wks IMO. Loads of good info here in the older threads and many great members with advice. My amazon has been with me for 44 yrs now. Just love baby zons. Best advice,,, socialize, socialize, socialize.( and start early)
