I have been visiting and reading these forums for months. I have laughed cried and found this to be incredible source of infomation. Just today I adopted a beautiful female eckie. I already own 2 GCC and a male SI eckie. She was in a tiny rusty filthy cage. I had to save her. She is being quarentined. I just don't understand how people could treat an animal like she was being treated. She was outside in the freezing wind. She has yellowing of her feathers. They were feeding her junk seed and no fresh fruits and veggies. Hopefully she will settle in well.

So the family out voted me so her name is now Mimi. She got her first shower today. I had to use a glove to pick her up.(only way she has ever been handled) Hopefully she will let us pick her up one of these days without a glove. Keeping my fingers crosses.
